Privacy

Short version: your files, keys and passphrases never leave your browser, and we run no analytics.

Files, keys and passphrases

Files you choose are read by your browser and encrypted or decrypted there. They are never sent to us or anyone else. Keys and passphrases stay in the memory of your browser tab and are not stored, logged or placed in web addresses.

What our servers see

TinyShare is a set of static files on a hosting provider. Like any website, the host receives standard request information (IP address, browser user agent, the page requested) when your browser downloads the site. We do not add analytics, tracking pixels, session recording or third-party scripts.

Storage on your device

We store one thing in your browser: your light/dark theme choice, in localStorage. A service worker caches the site’s own files so it can load offline. Neither contains your files or keys.

Direct transfer

The experimental direct transfer feature connects two browsers with WebRTC. The connection codes you copy contain your local network addresses. By default TinyShare uses no STUN or TURN servers, so no third party sees them unless you choose to add one.

Advertising

The site currently shows no ads. If that changes, ads will be limited to informational pages, not the encryption and decryption tools, and this policy will be updated first.
